PTA Committees & Committee Leads

Parent-led committees play a pivotal role in the PTA, fostering a strong sense of community and empowering parents to actively engage in their children's education and school activities.

  • This committee is responsible for our initiative to provide no-cost, after-school clubs. Work on determining which clubs we are offering and help organize them.

  • Review the monthly reports prepared by the Treasurer and conduct the annual audit by 8/31 each year.

  • Work with the librarian, Ms. Sharma to plan and execute the second annual Rashkis True Book Fair. Each student will be able to pick out two new books at no cost.

  • Another student favorite! This committee works to orchestrate the used book in November. Students shop for new to them books, puzzles and games with each item $1.

  • This committee works with the 5th grade parents and teachers to honor our Rashkis graduates!

  • Corporate matches and corporate sponsorships are crucial to fundraising at Rashkis. This committee gets it done!

  • This committee holds two campus beautification days each year, one in the fall and one in the spring. Termed ‘Digging for Donuts’, we garden and we enjoy a yummy breakfast together!

  • This committee works throughout the year to show our teachers and staff love and appreciation for all they do. They do this with meals, gifts, and a big week of celebration during Staff Appreciation Week in May.

  • Responsible for filling the PTA Board slate of candidates for the ensuing academic year.

  • Help coordinate the Fall Photoshoot, working with the photographer to set up sessions and encourage Rashkis families to participate.

  • This committee works to identify grants that Rashkis is eligible for via the Public School Foundation and applies for applicable opportunities!

  • Responsible for the Meadowmont marquee and other Rashkis outbound messaging!

  • The committee orchestrates this week-long event in which students count their reading minutes each day. Daily minutes are tabulated by PTA volunteers for each classroom.

  • Help plan and execute events for our school community. Examples include Family Movie Nights, Parent Coffees and Welcome Events.

  • The Rashkis School Improvement Team (SIT) is a state-mandated organization made up of elected Rashkis staff and parents. Our purpose is to develop a school improvement plan to strengthen student performance.

  • SNAC is a group of parents, district staff, and community professionals working together for the continuous improvement of the CHCCS Exceptional Children's program. Our purpose is to influence district policy on EC issues and promote inclusion in our schools.

  • This committee identifies and coordinates Rashkis spirit nights with local restaurants. These events are fun get-togethers for Rashkis families and an opportunity to raise some funds for our school.

  • This committee coordinates the design, marketing, and selling of Rashkis t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and other accessories.

  • This committee organizes our fund-raising efforts to provide all Rashkis staff with a cash gift for the holidays.

  • Parents partner with the PTA to give the teachers an evening of food and fun before the December winter break.

  • Manage the existing website and update as needed as events are planned/changed, as start-of-year updates are needed, add meeting minutes and agendas, forms, and buttons for donations to the site
